Poem "FRIENDS"

FRIENDS

I've gone through many miles in my life
Along the way, I've met people from all walks of life
Many that I couldn't imagine to count
People that somehow left marks of joy & sadness in my heart.

Some of them I addressed as friends
Since they spiced up my life in a way
They made me laugh, they made me cry
They even enlightened my worried mind.

Some friends just hang around for a reason
Perhaps, up to something that I could give
Or kinda find the feeling of befriending me
Might be curiousity or simply kind to befriend me.

I got lots of friends as I trudged the earth
But out of the many I filtered out very few
Friends that I treasure in store
People who sheltered me from storm.

I have chosen you to be among the few
Simply because you're kind
You bear a good heart that could delight a soul
Your love to God, your family and friends
That's superior of all!
